More than just a Back Rub
IT IS UNREALISTIC TO EXPECT A HORSE TO PERFORM AT ITS BEST WHEN IT IS IN PAIN OR DISCOMFORT.
A horse’s body is made up of more than 60% muscle. Overworked, over-exercised, and overloaded muscles develop knots or adhesions.  If untreated these knots can become scar tissue (which easily is seen by sonogram/ultrasound).

Postural imbalance, or compensation can occur in horses who are injured or have discomfort in any part of their body including hooves, teeth, joints, old injuries.

To treat and correct this problem, Equine BodyWorks has a sequence of locating and treating strokes specifically designed to break down adhesions and allow the horse’s muscles to function properly.

Massage also eases muscle spasms, improves circulation, relieves tension, enhances muscle tone and expands the range of motion.
